Today, the New Jersey Supremce Court announced that it will not issue a stay as it considers an appeal to Justice Jacobson’s historic ruling affirming marriage equality.
But marriage equality in New Jersey still isn’t certain. The Supreme Court still has to rule on the marriage case, something they won't do until January at the earliest -- which means the freedom to marry can still be taken away from New Jersey families.
The fact remains that the only way to ensure marriage equality in New Jersey right now is for the Legislature to act. And your lawmakers need to know that you want them to resolve this issue and guarantee the freedom to marry once and for all.
